This is the first page I did for Digital integration. In this page I wanted to show that Tsukari (who I’ve renamed Chris recently) was a gamer. thus the leetish speak. I also wanted to set up the Ultimate Legacy series of games.
The ultimate legacy series was a parody of those epic jRPG series mostly Final fantasy. superfans spend lots of time arguing about how the games all fit canonically together, even though they were never intended to fit together. I decided that Ultimate Legacy would be that kind of game where it didn’t immediately seem like there was anyway to connect the games into one timeline, but do. UL is a history of the digital world as told through game designers. Somethings in teh games are red herrings and some of its the truth.
In the version of DI I’m working on currently Chris(tsukari) runs a website that is viewed as the authoritative source of everything related to these games. And thats why he’s chosen. Which I think is more interesting then how I did it in the first to runs where a virus choses him for mysterious reasons. Reasons I never came up with, except that because he’s the hero of the story duuuuuh.
blek look how weird Tsukari looks. I had never done comics before and this was a pretty recent revolution in how I drew that I was still trying to nail down. Man I really hate his old outfit.
